Cronin issued three (3) different balls during his tenure which are easily discernable based on the stampings - 1 1960-69, 2 1970-72, & 3 1973. However, because this is a New in Box ball, we don't truly know which version this ball is; I do believe it's the 1960-69 given the plain nature of the box. I've listed another NIB ball w/ the white print MFD.
On the box which was the marker for both the 1970-72 and 1973. What makes this Box (& Ball) unique is the lack of the traditional No. 0" and "CUSHIONED CORK CENTER print on the one panel. Instead, it has the "SPALDING" logo and QUESTOR... If anyone has any intel on this box (and therefore the ball), I would greatly appreciate it!!
IMO opinion this is not a ball you get an autograph on, the rarity of a manufacturing sealed box is hyper rare and deserves to be in a home that appreciates this rarity. But the box must be in the exact same condition so please don't try to open the bottom, there are tell tale signs when people do this.
